About The Band
Earthen Gate is a 4-piece Rock Band, combining groovy low-end driven 90s rock sounds with hauntingly distressed vocals. Lyrically, Earthen Gate is all about the unfathomable depths of human nature, social evil and the crippling ironic paradoxes of life. It's about the burden of being imperfect within a world that demands constant perfection on all levels at all times.
Earthen Gate first embarked on their musical voyage of discovery together as a cohesive Rock Band in 2019. But their origin leads back way earlier to when the band members grew up listening to a variety of different music genres such as 70s Hard Rock, 90s Grunge, Stoner and Psychedelic-Rock, which all played an influential role in shaping their paths as musicians and ultimately led them together.
As Earthen Gate, they have collectively found their signature sound sitting somewhere between the intensity of bands like Soundgarden or Alice in Chains and the raw power of bands like Kyuss. Somehow, they offer something different and unique to their listeners in a world full of Plastic-Pop, Autotune and Gucci-Rappers, by creating and sharing authentic, original music they are proud to call their own.
On November 23, 2019, Earthen Gate played a live session consisting of 4 parts recorded in their Hamburg based rehearsal room by their good friend David K.
Next stop is a variety of small club gigs during spring of 2020 to get in shape for the upcoming festival season.
